Kantha or “patched cloth” refers to the tradition of producing unique, quilted fabrics that historically make something useful and beautiful out of scraps.
Kantha also refers to the craft and the stitch itself, which is a small, straight running stitch of Bengali embroidery that runs through the fabric.
The Cloth is made of two fabrics that are stitched together and have the actual embroidery thread running through.
