The 3-hole thread guide is used in at least two locations on most APQS machines–in the center of the machine between the thread cone and the tension control assembly, and directly next to the tension control assembly. The 3-hole guide helps ensure that the thread stays nestled between the tension disks and helps prevent the thread from twisting irregularly as it enters the tensioner. This part fits all generation models.
